REALTORS Relief Fund applications open for flood damage

MARSHALL — In the wake of July’s rainstorms and flooding, an additional source of assistance is available for area residents. The REALTORS Relief Fund has funds available for people impacted by the July 3 flooding, and is taking applications.

Christopher Galler, CEO of Minnesota REALTORS, said grants have recently been approved in Tracy and Marshall. The relief funds are available for housing related costs, like mortgage payments, rent payments or temporary rental payments. If an applicant receives assistance, the money will be jointly payable to the applicant and their mortgage lender or landlord. The next application deadline for relief assistance is Sept. 14, Galler said.

The city of Marshall has posted a link to the REALTORS Relief Fund application on its Facebook page. The form includes more detailed eligibility information, as well as contact information for submitting the application.
