The leading Republican candidates for governor are slated to participate in a forum in Marshall on Monday, Nov. 27. The program will be in the Student Center at Southwest Minnesota State University. A meet the candidates reception begins at 6:15 p.m., with the forum following at 7 p.m. The program will include questions from the audience and a local media panel, and statements from the candidates.

The discussion will focus on issues of interest to Greater Minnesota and especially southwest Minnesota.

The forum will be livestreamed on The Uptake, a nonprofit citizen journalist organization, through its website, Twitter and Facebook platforms. It will also be broadcast on Studio One’s community access channels in Marshall and nearby cities.

The event is sponsored by the SMSU College Republicans with the assistance of the SMSU Student Activities Committee, SMSU Faculty Association and the Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce.
