Area students named to NDSU dean’s list

Area Minnesota students were among the 180 North Dakota State University students to be placed on the summer 2018 dean’s list.

A student must earn a 3.50 grade point average or higher and be enrolled in at least nine class credits to qualify for the summer list.

Ghent, Ryan Colgan, medical laboratory science; Hendricks, Taylor Olsen, biological sciences.

Shouse receives scholarship from Iowa State

The Iowa State University College of Human Sciences has announced undergraduate students who will receive scholarships from the college and its academic departments.

Meghan Shouse of Marshall, who is studying apparel, merchandising, and design, was offered the Emelie Hanson Grimm Scholarship from the College of Human Sciences.

Sundquist receives national

FFA scholarship

The National FFA Organization awarded a $1,500 America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders scholarship to Mary Sundquist of Marshall High School. The scholarship is sponsored by America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders Monsanto Fund. Sundquist plans to use the funds to pursue a degree at South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D.

This scholarship is one of 1,829 awarded through the National FFA organization’s scholarship program this year.

Johnston named to Lawrence University dean’s list

Anna Johnston, the daughter of Kent and Julie Johnston of Tracy, has been named to the Lawrence University dean’s list for the 2017-18 academic year. Students must maintain a minimum 3.4 grade-point average for the entire academic year to qualify for dean’s list honors.
