THURSDAY PREP ROUNDUP: Marshall holds on to defeat Luverne

LUVERNE – The Marshall girls basketball team defeated Luverne 46-36 on Thursday.

Jordyn Hilgemann and Corrin Naughton led the way for the Tigers with 12 points each while Lenei Estrada added 11. Emily Meier led in rebounds with eight while Hilgemann led in assists with four.

Marshall (11-3) will face Waseca today at 1:30 p.m.

MADISON – The top-ranked Minneota girls basketball team defeated Lac qui Parle Valley 65-51 on Thursday.

Morgan Hennen led the way for the Vikings with 24 points while Lydia Sussner added 18 and Natalee Rolbiecki had nine. Sussner led in rebounds with nine while Abby Hennen led in assists with five.

Minneota will face Wabasso on Monday at 6 p.m.

Tanner Drietz, Jaden Kindopp and Denver Noyes won by a pin while Kalib Greenman, Noah Steffen, Josh Steffen and Shane Noyes won by decision to lead the way for Canby.

Zack Fier, Eric Carrasco, Kade Lozinski and Teddy Pesch won by major decision while Blake Reiss and Shawn Buysse won by decision and Cole VanOverbeke won by a pin to lead the way for Minneota.

Minneota will face LCWM today at 10 a.m. while Canby will face Marshall and Hutchinson today at 10:30 a.m.

TMB/WWG 44, Quad County 27

GRANITE FALLS – The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton/Westbrook-Walnut Grove wrestling team defeated Quad County 44-27.

Devin Carter, Tyler Vandendriessche, Anthony Axford and Trevor Eisfeld won by a pin while Dereck Ellingson won by technical fall and Gabe Krick, Jace Paplow won by forfeit to lead the way for TMB/WWG.

David Hidalgo and Luke Kluver won by a pin while Gunner Stier, Jack Howard, Ayden Friese and Cole Fischer won by decision while Hunter Wolf won by forfeit to lead the way for Quad County.

TMB/WWG will host the Plum Creek Duals today at 11 a.m.
