Matt Onken led the way for Marshall with 14 points and nine rebounds, including five offensive rebounds.

Noah Puetz added 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the win.

Marshall’s offensive attack didn’t get as many shots on goal, but it didn’t matter as the Tigers executed when they got their opportunity in LDC’s zone.

Rachel VanKeulen netter a pair of goals in the victory, while Logan Sherman and Sydney Mauch added a goal apiece.

Saphi McFarquhar recorded an all-around score of 34.9 on the night, including a first-place score in both the bars (8.7) and floor exercise (9.15). She also scored 8.8 on the vault for second place and a third-place score of 8.25 on the balance beam.

Mikayla Chesley had a fourth-place score of 8.725 on the vault and scored 6.95 on the bars for fifth place.

Marshall travels to Redwood Valley on Monday.

Wabasso/RRC was shut out in the first eight bouts of the dual. The Bobcats won five of the last six classes, but it wasn’t enough to come from behind.

Isaac Schmiesing recorded the lone pin of the dual for W/RRC, taking down Everado Hernandez one minute into the 220 bout.
