AREA GYMNASTICS: Prestige Gymnastics competes in first meet over the weekend

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Prestige Gymnastics, which is part of USAG, had its first meet at the All-American Gymnastics Invitational on Sunday in Sioux Falls, S.D. The team took five girls to the Invite, with four of the five qualified for state. Cameen McFarquhar got a 9.7 on vault, first place on the uneven bars (8.625), sixth on the balance beam (7.9), first in the floor exercise (9.425) and third in the all-around with a 35.65.

Kendall Walerius earned an 8.85 on the vault, 9.5 on the bars, first on the beam (8.5) and scored a 9.05 on the floor while Marley Rohde scored 8.8 on vault, 8.75 on the bars, 7.8 on the beam and 8.80 on floor. Josilyn Rohde scored 8.5 on the vault, 9.05 on the bars, 6.1 on the beam and 8.75 on floor while Abigail Chandler scored 8.0 on the vault, 8.65 on the bars, 6.9 on the beam and 8.1 on the floor.

The team ranges in age from 6-16.
