Thomas Hennen scored 19 points in the win. With a minute remaining in the first half, the junior passed 1,000 points for his career.

Nolan Boerboom led the Vikings with 24 points.

Evelyn Dolan led the Panthers with 18 points. Dolan also recorded six steals. Sydney Lanoue scored 13 points, dished out five assists and recorded nine steals. Laura Karkle scored 11 points. Kaylee Kirk reached double figures with 10 points, dished out seven assists and came away with six steals.

The Panthers will look to pick up their sixth straight win on Thursday against the Dawson-Boyd Blackjacks.

DAWSON – The Lakeview Lakers edged the Dawson-Boyd Blackjacks 50-46 to snap a seven-game losing streak.

Sierra Plotz led the way for the Lakers with 13 points. Plotz also dished out five assists, grabbed seven rebounds and eight steals.

Haley Unke scored 10 points. Savannah Rausch scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds. Lizzie Grube chipped in with seven points.

Avery Bartunek recorded a double-double for the Blackjacks, scoring 15 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Bartunek also dished out five assists and recorded five steals.

Mary Bothun scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Alex Sather scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

The Lakers are now 4-7 overall. They’ll be back in action on Thursday against Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg.

With the loss the Blackjacks are now 5-5. They’ll look to get back into the win column on Thursday against Tracy-Milroy-Balaton.

WILLMAR – The Marshall boys hockey team defeated Willmar 5-1 on Tuesday night.

The Tigers jumped out to an early lead thanks to goals from Elliott Holland and Mason Plante to take a 2-0 lead after one.

Willmar would cut the deficit to 2-1 early in the second period, but Chase VanDeVere answered for the Tigers to put the lead back at two goals.

Marshall would then get a pair of goals in the third from Mason Plante to complete a hat trick for the junior and put the game out of reach. The final goal for Plante was also his 100th point scored in his career.

The Tigers outshot Willmar 42-16. Dominik Caspers earned the victory in net, stopping 15 shots.

Marshall (10-4) will face Minnesota River on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
