AMATEUR BASEBALL ROUNDUP: Hadley shuts out Ruthton

HADLEY – The Hadley amateur baseball team defeated Ruthton 14-0 on Sunday.

Blake Rogers led the way for the Buttermakers with a 3 for 4 day at the plate with four RBIs while Max Zwart also went 3 for 4 with four RBIs and two homers.

Sam Erickson earned the win on the hill, going all seven innings while allowing three hits and no runs while striking out 12.

Walker Kor led the way for Ruthton with a couple of hits. Brent Wiering took the loss for the Royals, going six innings while allowing 13 hits and 13 runs while striking out six.

Hadley will face Marshall on Saturday while Ruthton will face Luverne on Wednesday.

TRACY – Before they played Lakefield, the Tracy amateur baseball team played against Jackson, where they fell 12-0 in five innings.

Jordan Lanoue took the loss for the Express, going two innings while allowing nine runs and two hits while striking out two. Tracy didn’t have a hit on the game.
