YOUTH BASKETBALL: Pacesetter Region 2 Youth Basketball Playoffs in Mankato this weekend

MANKATO – Pacesetter Sports will be hosting the Region 2 Youth Basketball Playoffs for teams in grades 4-9 at Minnesota State University in Mankato this weekend. Ninety-six teams will be playing including teams from Plainview-Elgin-Millville, Eden Valley-Watkins, Owatonna, Fillmore Central, Austin, Lyle, Mankato, Triton, MN Valley Lutheran, St. James, Byron, Lanesboro, St. Paul, Maple River, Sleepy Eye, Zumbrota-Mazeppa, Cedar Mountain-Comfrey, Springfield, Minneota, Faribault, Southland-Kingsland, Redwood Valley, Cleveland, Madelia, Stewartville, Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton, Wabasso, Cass Lake-Bena, Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial, Kenyon-Wanamingo, Spring Grove, Marshall, Kasson-Mantorville, Maple River, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown, Lakeville, Waseca, Dover-Eyota, Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, Hinckley-Finlayson, Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity, Rockford, New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva, Royalton, and LeSueur-Henderson.

The champions will be invited to play in the Minnesota Youth Basketball State Championships in Maple Grove in June. The Minnesota state champions and runner-up teams will be invited to play in the Pacesetter Great Four-State Championships at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul this summer, which will include top teams from Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota.
