SMSU GOLF: SMSU concludes spring break with eighth place finish at Augustana Invite
PALM DESERT, Calif. – The Southwest Minnesota State women’s golf closed out the Augustana University Spring Fling played at the Classic Club on Friday, shooting a 329 in the final round to finish with an 85-over-par 661 to place eighth out of nine teams.
The University of Indianapolis (Ind.) won the team title with a 23-over 599, while Pilar Echeverria from Indianapolis earned medalist honors with a 2-over 146.
Ashley Bixby shot a 7-over 79 on Friday, leading the Mustangs with a 16-over 160 to finish in a tie for 25th. Dana Wagner tied for 33rd place with an 18-over 162, following today’s round of 8-over 80.
Southwest Minnesota State will return to action on April 10-11 competing at the Spring Central Region Preview in Springfield, Mo.
