PREP SWIMMING: Tiger swimmers leading Montevideo this season

MARSHALL – Four Marshall High School swimmers have found a new home – and success – on the Montevideo swim and dive team. Brandon Groenewold, Matthew Dunn, Nicholas Dunn and Addison Clarin are the four Tigers who have made a splash this season for the Montevideo/Marshall team.

A recent co-op between Montevideo and Marshall has been the origin of this team, and they have seen their success pay off. After finishing second at the Section 3A True Team meet in Hutchinson on Jan. 21, the team was invited to participate in the Minnesota True Team State meet at the University of Minnesota on Jan. 28. It was the first appearance for the team at this particular meet, with the team placing 11th overall.

This weekend, Montevideo/Marshall competed in the prelims for the Section 3A tournament on Thursday before competing in the finals on Saturday.
