PREP SPORTS ROUNDUP: CMCS Tops Knights in Camden Conference duel

TYLER — Central Minnesota Christian outlasted Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 54-48 in overtime on Friday.

The game was deadlocked at 44-all going into the extra frame, but the Bluejays outscored the Knights 10-4 to get the win.

Tina Haroldson led the Knights with 12 points and seven rebounds. She also recorded four assists and five steals in the loss.

Brooke Thomsen added 11 points and four steals for RTR.

RTR (4-14) travels to Pipestone Area on Thursday.

TRACY — Spencer Smith exploded for 42 points to lead Tracy-Milroy-Balaton to a 57-52 overtime win over Dawson-Boyd on Friday.

Smith also recorded 13 rebounds in the win.

Moses Dolan added nine points and seven rebounds for TMB.

Both teams will return to action on Monday as TMB (6-9, 3-6 Camden) travels to Redwood Valley while DB (8-5, 6-3 Camden) travels to Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley.

MINNEOTA-The Minneota Vikings picked up their third straight victory by defeating Renville County West 81-56.

The Vikings used a balanced scoring attack to defeat Renville County West. Logan Sussner finished with a double-double by scoring 20 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Nolan Boerboom and Thomas Hennen both scored 14 points. Brock Fox finished with 12 points.

Minneota (7-4) will look to win its fourth straight Monday when they host Murray County Central.

TYLER-In a battle of Camden Conference leaders it was the third ranked Central Minnesota Christian Bluejays defeating the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights 55-45. The loss snapped RTR’s seven-game winning streak.

Westin Kirk led the Knights with 10 points. Carter Hansen scored nine points.

The Knights will look to start a new winning streak Tuesday when they travel to Minneota.
