YOUTH HOCKEY: Marshall Pee Wee Hockey goes 1-2 over weekend

WILLMAR - Marshall Pee Wee A Hockey competed in the Willmar tournament over the weekend, playing three games.

Marshall opened with a loss on Saturday morning 7-5 to Monticello Annandale Maple Lake.  Marshall had a balanced attack with goals from Tucker Mauch, Talan Plante, Wyatt Boerboom, Parker Schmitt and Sam Schwarz.

Later that evening, Marshall fell to Albert Lea by a score of 4-2.  Talan Plante and Wyatt Boerboom netted the two goals for Marshall.

Early on Sunday morning, Marshall bounced back with a 9-0 victory over district opponent Luverne.  Goalie Lincoln Mellenthin earned his first shutout of the season.  Wyatt Boerboom led Marshall’s scoring with three goals, followed with two goals from Talan Plante and Tucker Mauch, while Braxton Meyer and Jared Reinsma each had one goal apiece.

Marshall PWA returns to action with a road game on Saturday versus Windom at 7:30 p.m.
