If not, what word best describes an unintented result?This question has come up before and usually in the context of describing collisions involving automobiles. According to one definition an accident is; "An unfortunate incident that happens unexpectedly and unintentionally, typically resulting in damage or injury." There is specific driving behavior which increases your risk of being injured or causing damage but if a driver is reasonably adhering to established traffic laws an unintended event could occur which results in an "accident".
