PRINCETON- After opening the tournament with a win, Marshall ran into difficulties in the final two games of the tournament.

The Mudcats ran into a tough test in Lino Lakes, losing 12-0 and Keaton Kuzel threw a no hitter in which he relied heavily on his defense. He walked two batters, but didn't record a strikeout.
Mudcats manager Mitch Maxwell chalked it up to a disappointing end to the tournament.
"It was frustrating," Maxwell said. "We didn't play very well defensively. We hit the ball hard a couple times, but it just found their defense."
Logan Davey batted 3-for-3 with a double, scored two runs and had an RBI for Lino Lakes.
Jordan Ewings also had a strong day offensively, going 3-for-4 with four RBI.
Dylan Criquet Danielson did the bulk of the pitching in this one, going 2 2-3 innings, where he struck out one, but allowed three runs on four hits.
Marshall suffered its first loss of the tournament on Saturday, dropping an 8-2 decision to Princeton.
Brent Andries had the one Mudcat RBI, as he batted 2-for-3 and had a double.
Marshall also got two hits from Nate Hoeft and one from Derek Rasmussen. Rasmussen (double) and Jack Bock scored the two Marshall runs.
Sam Archer had two RBI for Princeton, while they got one from Nick Zeroth and Damon Rademacher.
Dalton Matson pitched the full seven innings to get the win, totaling six strikeouts and seven walks.
Adam Kovash got the start on the mound for Marshall, going five innings.
He didn't record a strikeout and let up seven walks.
