MILROY - After coughing up a 3-0 lead in the top of the eighth inning, Nathan Deutz came through in his only at-bat of the game, delivering and RBI single that scored Colton Peterson to put the Milroy Yankees up 4-2 and they would win by that score.
Josh Hadley pitched seve innings of shutout baseball before Matt Bauer took over in the final two innings and recovered from a rough start to preserve the save.
"Matt has been doing that for us all year," Milroy Yankees manager Ryan Rohlik said. "We're playing better right now than we have been. We're making the plays we need to defensively and getting clutch hits when we need to."

Milroy’s Nathan Allpress fields a ball at shortstop and throws to first during the Yankees’ 4-2 win over Granite Falls Wednesday.
Milroy took a 3-0 lead into the eighth inning when a walk, a runner reaching on an error and another walk loaded the bases for Andrew Walters, who then delivered a two RBI single to get the Kilowatts within one run.
Bauer was then able to strike out Dylan Lindstrom to end the inning and strand runners on first and second.
Granite Falls also ended up with four errors and that, combined with missed opportunities isn't going to translate into wins.
"We had a couple chances there in the first inning," Granite Falls manager Mike Richter said. "We had a bonehead play at first and a guy get throw out at home. Milroy is a tough team. You commit too may errors and too many walks, you aren't going to win."
Milroy also got two RBI in the game from David Schmidt, who drove in two runs with a double in the opening frame.
The Yankees added their third run in the fourth inning when Andy Schmidt drove in David Schmidt with an RBI single.
Milroy will continue its season July 6 when they travel to Bird Island.
Granite Falls has its next game scheduled for July 9 when they host Bird Island.
