Indulging in fair food

June 28, 2014
By Cindy Votruba , Marshall Independent

At any fair or festival, whether it's Boxelder Bug Days, the Lyon County Fair or the Minnesota State Fair, there's usually a wide variety of fair food available. The smell of mini-doughnuts fills the air. Cotton candy is whirled around on a paper cone. The sugary sweetness of a funnel cake. The messy, cool goodness of a snow cone. Food tends to be a staple of fairs and festivals, and one could hardly wait until summer to have that mini-doughnut or corn dog.
