Herbs, spices and rubs

May 28, 2014

Last spring I took a little inspiration from my daughter and planted some fresh herbs in my flower beds. (She lives in Texas and has fresh herbs planted year round just outside her front door.) I have rabbits and deer that like to feast on my tender flowers, and I really don't have a very "green" thumb, so I decided to try growing a few herbs in my flower beds. The rabbits and deer seemed to leave them alone; they were easy to grow and fun to use in some of my summer menus. So this year, I'm experimenting with a few more, and we'll see how that turns out!
