ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

The City of Marshall will receive bids in the Office of the City Clerk in the Municipal Building, located at 344 West Main Street, until 10:00 a.m. on May 19, 2014, for the following project:

crack filling of runways, taxiways and apron areas

SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA REGIONAL AIRPORT

MARSHALL, MINNESOTA

Bidder must provide equipment and labor to complete project which consist of the following:

1. Primary runway 12/30 blow out, heat lance and flush fill 8500' of cracks.

2. Taxiways. Blow out, heat lance and flush fill 6230' of cracks.

3. Apron, Parking lot and roadway. Route 3/4" x 3/4" blow out, heat lance and flush fill 10,550' of cracks.

4. Clean surface area when completed.

Approximately 25,280' of cracks.

Product to be bid: State Spec Crack Filler

Maximum work to be completed under this contract is $40,000.00.

Work to be completed by September 30, 2014.

All work being done must comply with FAA rules and safety regulations.

This project is funded under a Mn/DOT Grant Agreement. Therefore, Prevailing Wage Schedule must be used.

Bids shall be directed to the City Clerk/Financial Director, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper with a brief statement or summary as to the work for which the bid is made.

The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of any bid, to waive minor defects, technicalities, or any informalities in the bidding or to advertise for new proposals, and to accept that bid deemed to be in the City's best interest.

No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least 30 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
