Leona Doom

Leona died on Friday, May 2, 2014, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall.

She grew up and attended school in Marshall. On Sept. 16, 1947, she was united in marriage to Edmon Doom at St. Clotilde Catholic Church in Green Valley. From this union, 12 children were born. She and Ed were charter members and Leona taught religion for many years. She volunteered at Senior Dining, delivered Meals on Wheels and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Leona was a wonderful mother. She will be remembered as a provider as she always prepared in abundance, whether it was food, baking bread, or lending a hand.
