GRANITE FALLS/ RENVILLE - Three area schools participated at the YME Invite on Friday, which took place at Stoney Creek and Granite Run golf courses. Both the boys and girls teams played nine holes at each site.
Dawson-Boyd finished with the lowest team score for the boys with 356, while a 461 from Yellow Medicine East was the best team score for the girls.

SANBORN - The Wabasso Rabbits hosted a golf triangular on Friday, with Sleepy Eye winning the boys with a score of 192 and Springfield finishing with the low score of 216 on the girls side.
Callie Wersal of Springfield shot a 48 to medal for the girls, while Caleb Christianson of Sleepy Eye was the boys medalist after shooting a 42.

MILROY - Pitching dominated this game as Wabasso squeezed by Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Friday night.
Wabasso's Josh Altermatt and the Panther's Taylor Carlson combined for 24 strikeouts as Altermatt finished with 13 and Carlson clocked 11 K's.
William Klann had the RBI single for the Rabbits and Nick Altermatt had the other hit for Wabasso. Jordan Towne tallied the Panther's lone hit of the ballgame.

MINNEOTA - Redwood Valley used a big offensive performance to defeat Minneota/Canby/ Lincoln HI 22-4 in five innings on Friday night.
Jenna Kockelman hit a bases-loaded double to put M/C/L on the board in the second inning.
Ricki Kallhoff went 2-for-3 with two singles and a RBI for the other M/C/L run in the fifth.
Becca Kallhoff pitched a one-two-three bottom of the fifth for the Vikings, including a strikeout.

RENVILLE - The Canby Lancers cruised to a 13-2 victory over Renville County West Friday night. Kristian Leppke paced the offense with three RBI on the strength of 3-for-3 hitting that included two doubles and he scored two runs.
Bryce Gorder finished 1-for-4 at the plate and drove in two runs. The Lancers also got doubles from Brett Jelen and Tanner Kack. Kack Adam Durfee, Jelen, Christian Full, Michael Peterson and Sawyer Kraus each added RBI.
Hayden Johnson and Nick Fischer tallied the RBI for the Jaguars as they went a combined 2-for-7 at the plate.
Zach Nuy picked up the win on the mound as he struck out eight against jsut two walks and seven hits. Brady Holwerda was saddled with the loss. Holwerda pitched four innings and struck out three while walking four and allowing three earned runs on six hits.

TRACY - Murray County Central kept things rolling on the softball diamond, cruising to a 12-3 win over Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Friday night. Kenda Blomgran lead the Rebels attack, going 3-for-5 at the plate as she tripled, had three RBI and scored two runs. McKenna Schrier also had a big day offensively, driving in three runs as she went 3-for-4 with a triple.
Makenzie Schmitz, Abby Lee, Jade Giese, Kristi Bose and Lissa Carlson all had extra base hits in the game.
Bose went the full seven innings and struck out two while walking just one. The Panther's Kylie Lessman went four innings while Lexi Tauer pitched three and they combined for three strikeouts.
Tauer paced the Panthers offensively, going 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI.

Rachel Kettle went 3-for-3 with three singles and had two RBI to lead the Falcons offensively. Taylor Whilhite scores three runs and had two singles to her line score. Olivia Bittner also finished with an RBI.
Wilhite pitched five innings and gave up two runs (one earned) on three hits and struck out three batters while walking three. Each team committed two errors.
