ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
FOR: 2014 REROOFING
MARSHALL MIDDLE SCHOOL
TSP PROJECT NO. 08131033
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Marshall Public Schools will receive sealed bids for 2014 Reroofing, until 1:30 P.M., Local Time on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read in the District Office Board Room.
The project scope consists of partial reroofing at Marshall Middle School, 401 S. Saratoga Street, Marshall, MN.
Bidders are requested to attend a Pre-Bid Conference to be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Marshall Middle School in the District Office Board Room. The purpose of this conference is to review the project scope, view existing roof conditions and respond to bidder questions.
A Single Contract will be awarded for Roofing Work.
All bids shall be made in accordance with forms referenced to and/or made a part of the proposed contract documents. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to Bruce Lamprecht, Director of Business Services, Marshall Public Schools, 401 S. Saratoga Street, Marshall, Minnesota 56258. Bid envelopes shall be clearly marked on the outside lower left corner Bid Proposal For Reroofing. Full responsibility for the delivery of mailed bids prior to the deadline for receiving bids rests with the bidder.
Contract documents, including proposal bid forms, drawings and Project Manual, have been placed on file and may be examined and obtained at the office of TSP, Inc., 104 West Redwood, Marshall, Minnesota, 56258; ph: (507) 537-1511.
Each Prime Contractor shall receive one set of documents free. Additional sets of documents and all sets requested by subcontractors and material suppliers may be purchased by non-refundable costs of reproduction from the Architect.
Each bidder must deposit bid security with the bid, payable to Marshall Public Schools and shall be one of the following:
1. Certified check, cashier's check or draft in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount.
2. Bid Bond issued by a Surety and acceptable to the Owner in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount.
The Contractor shall furnish bonds covering faithful performance of the Contract and payment of obligations arising thereunder. The amount of each bond shall be equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum as originally bid or subsequently modified.
No bidder may withdraw a bid until 30 days after the bid opening, without a written request explaining the cause for the withdrawal and without a written consent of the Owner after reviewing the cause.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, and to waive any irregularities of any bid. The Owner also reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder as may be determined by the Owner.
