Rebekah Swanson

Rebekah Jane Swanson was born Sept. 24, 2003, in Marshall to Gregg and Becky (Danell) Swanson. She was reborn as a child of God through baptism on Oct. 12, 2003, at Christ Lutheran Church in Marshall. Becca's loving heavenly Father ended her year-long battle with leukemia on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2013, when he sent his angels to bring Rebekah to the home in heaven Jesus had prepared for her from all eternity. Here Jesus is filling her with joy in his presence, with eternal pleasures at his right hand (Ps 16:11).

Becca was a 4th grader at Samuel Lutheran School. She loved school and enjoyed participating in as many school activities as she could, including, volleyball, dodgeball and four square. Her favorite subject was math. Outside of school Becca loved to swim, spend time with her friends, and be a big sister to her little baby brother, Ryder, or, as Rebekah would call him, Goochers.

Becca is survived by her parents, Becky and Gregg Swanson of Marshall; brothers, Rusty, Riley and Ryder Swanson, all at home; grandparents Alice Danell of Essexville, Mich., James Danell of Columbia Falls, Mont., and Jane Swanson of Hastings; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Becca was preceded in death by her Grandpa Swanson.

"The one who believes in me will live, even though they die, and whoever lives and believes in me will never die" (Jn 11:25-26). "I have loved thee with an everlasting love, therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee" (Jr 31:3).

Blessed be the memory of Becca Swanson.
