GIRLS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Kallhoff scores 1,000th point in Canby victory

CANBY - Ricki Kallhoff scored her 1,000th career point Friday night as Canby defeated Lac qui Parle Valley 59-51.

Kallhoff finished with 15 points to lead the Lancers in scoring.

Morgan Merritt added a double-double for Canby with 11 points and 11 assists.

WABASSO - Class A No. 10-ranked Wabasso lost its second consecutive game after starting the season undefeated, falling to Cedar Mountain/Comfrey on Friday night 46-41.

Chelsey Guetter led the Rabbits with 13 points, 11 rebounds and three steals in the loss.

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 79, Edgerton 48

TYLER - Russell-Tyler-Ruthton defeated Edgerton 79-48 in non-conference play Friday night.

It was a balanced effort for the Knights as five players scored in double figures, led by Ashlynn Wabeke with 13 points.

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton will host Central Minnesota Christian on Tuesday.

Kelly Husby and Sadie Zaiser each had double-doubles for the Blackjacks in the win.

Husby ended with 10 points and 15 rebounds, and Sadie Zaiser added 11 points and 15 rebounds.
