BOYS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: RTR takes down Minneota/LHI

TYLER - The Russell-Tyler-Ruthton boys basketball team avenged a loss to Minneota/Lincoln HI earlier this season with a 69-64 win on Thursday night.

Brett Peterson led the Knights with a 30-point, 15-rebound double-double. He also had eight assists, three steals and a pair of blocked shots.

Isaiah DeRuyter also scored a double-double for RTR with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Brett Vercruysse added 19 points in the win.

Daniel Harrison led the Vikings with 20 points. He also had three steals. Nathan Pavek and Dylan Tolk added 15 and 12, respectively, in the loss.

Minneota/Lincoln HI will be in action again tonight when they play host to Canby. RTR will meet Fulda at Southwest Minnesota State University on Saturday.

Paynesville Area 73, Yellow Medicine East 67

GRANITE FALLS - Blake Lindstrom scored 26 points for the Sting on Thursday night, but it wasn't enough as Yellow Medicine East fell to Paynesville Area 73-67.

Lindstrom also led YME with seven rebounds and four steals.

Logan Deblieck added 13 points and six rebounds for the Sting in the loss.
