Area students graduate from MSUM

Minnesota State University Moorhead awarded degrees to 425 students during its fall commencement Dec. 19 in MSUM's Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse. About 300 students participated in the ceremonies.

The following area students graduated: Jennifer DeBlieck, Granite Falls, bachelor of science, speech/language/hearing science, summa cum laude; Kayla Revel, Marshall, bachelor of science, elementary inclusive education.

Zmeskal to attend the University of Minnesota, Morris

Ashley Zmeskal of Marshall has been accepted to and has chosen to attend the University of Minnesota, Morris.

Zmeskal, who will be a 2014 graduate of Marshall High School, will attend Morris beginning fall 2014. Zmeskal is the recipient of an Achievement Scholarship, renewable up to four years.

Achievement Scholars are selected based on their academic accomplishments at the time of application. All first-year students who submit an application to Morris are automatically considered for an Achievement Scholarship package.
