PREP SPORTS ROUNDUP: Marshall solid at Mankato East

MANKATO - The Marshall girls gymnastics team competed at the Mankato East Invitational on Saturday on both the varsity and junior varsity levels with solid results.

Natalie Rademacher led the way on with a 27.925 all-around score. Meg Ellis was next with a 25.65 and Kami Love was third with a 25.225.

Nicole Deragisch finished with an 18.9 while Kayla Nelson had an 18.025 in three events.

The Tigers will be in action again on Thursday when they face Worthington.

TRACY - The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton girls basketball team kept its perfect record intact with a 61-42 win over Redwood Valley on Saturday in Tracy.

The Panthers (4-0) were led by Cassie Hook, who had 20 points and six steals. Sammie Gervais added 11 points in the win.

TMB will be in action again on Friday when they play host to Minneota.

ADRIAN - The Russell-Tyler-Ruthton girls basketball team moved into the win column on Saturday with a 56-47 victory over Adrian.

Destinee Strand led the way with 14 points while Justine Possail was right behind her with 13 and Kaylie Nielsen added 12.

RTR will be in Canby on Friday for a Camden Conference match-up.

SLEEPY EYE - The Murray County Central boys basketball team went 1-1 over the weekend in the Sleepy Eye Invitational, falling to Sleepy Eye St. Mary's 69-58 on Friday before defeating Sleepy Eye 63-58 on Saturday.

On Friday Grant Rohrer had an 18-point, 15-rebound double-double while Logan Kluis added 15 points in the loss.

In Saturday's win Rohrer tallied a 16-point, 15- rebound double-double while Kuis scored 15 again.

The Rebels will be in action again on Tuesday when they travel to Edgerton to face Southwest Minnesota Christian in a Red Rock Conference match-up.
