WILLMAR - The Canby/Minneota/Lincoln HI?cross country teams ran in the middle of the pack during the Willmar Invitational on Saturday.
The Lancers scored 154 points and placed fifth among 13 teams in the boys race. C/M/L had 151 points and placed sixth of 12 teams in the girls race.
Wyatt Johansen led the C/M/L boys by placing 14th overall in 17 minutes, 38 seconds. He was followed by McKinley Johansen (28th, 18:04), Josue Leos (33rd, 18:14), Anthony Wollum (39th, 18:33) and Travis Dinius (40th, 18:37).
Other Lancers who competed in the boys race included Lennart DeHaan (75th, 19:44), Braeden Full (81st, 20:19) and Konnor King (94th, 20:42).
Moorhead won the boys team champioship with 53 points over Bismarck, N.D., which had 56 points.
Leah Jessen placed 11th in 15:53 to pace C/M/L in the girls race. She was followed by Natalie Dinius (20th, 16:10), Emily Gillingham (25th, 16:19), Kalli Jelen (41st, 17:03) and Ashley Grengs (54th, 17:22).
Other Lancers who competed in the girls race were Sydney Sisk (61st, 17:38) and Lauren Jessen (71st, 18:27).
Bismarck, N.D., won the girls team championship over Willmar, 52-56.
