MARSHALL - Southwest Minnesota State remained undefeated with a 2-1 victory over Lindenwood, Mo., setting the mark for the best start in the program's history at 4-0-0.
The Mustangs were led by Sophomore Miranda Cadena who scored her first two goals this season.
Cadena's first goal came in the 28th minute with an angled shot from the far side of the field.

Lindenwood responded in the 61st minute with a 12-yard header from Kat Roe to even the score.
A 1-on-1 shot from Cadena in the 84th minute broke the tie in the Mustangs' favor.
Kendahl Fisher was credited with the assist, who hit Cadena with a strike from center field.
Brienna Dehkes defended the goal for the Mustangs, holding onto the victory after making seven saves. Bailey Tracy collected eight saves for Lindenwood.
SMSU hosts Minot State on Sept, 21 at the Schwan's Regional Event Center.
