Adult softball action in Marshall wrapped up for the summer on Thursday with the conclusion of the men's Silver League tournament.
Tom's Auto Body went 2-1 on the night, but still managed to take the league title. Tom's opened the night with a 15-8 win over Hoganson Chiropractic, with a seven-run bottom of the sixth providing the difference. Tom's, with a game to give on the field, then dropped its first game against the Gambler 19-7, scoring four runs in the final half inning, but only after a nine-run top of the seventh by the Gambler.
The eventual champions bounced back with a 15-11 come-from-behind win, erasing a 7-1 deficit in the final three innings.
Gambler, which finished second after losing to Tom's, rolled on its way through the loser's bracket with a 21-5 win to eliminate R&G Construction to start the night and a 20-8 toppling of Hoganson. R&G lasted just four innings, giving up 11 runs in the top of the fourth, while Hoganson extended its contest one more inning before bowing out.
