With over 1,000 fans pouring into the PE Gym to watch the Southwest Minnesota State University volleyball team each match, the Mustangs were able to boast the second highest attendance totals in the country for Division II schools.
SMSU averaged 1,076 fans per match in 2012, finding seats for 10,763 total spectators over 10 home matches.
The Mustangs were 9-1 in Marshall in 2012 and have compiled a 85-16 record in home matches since 2004.
SMSU's 2012 average attendance would rank 41st among all NCAA Division I schools as well.
As a whole, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference led all of Division II in overall and average attendance with 83,319 total fans, or 453 per match.
Nebraska-Kearney, which ended the Mustangs' season in the NCAA Central Region tournament in 2012, led the country with an average of 1,140 fans per contest.
