MARSHALL - A Marshall man was found dead after a house fire Friday, Marshall Police said. While the cause of his death has not yet been determined, the incident is under investigation by law enforcement and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal.
The Marshall Fire Department, North Memorial Ambulance and Marshall Police responded to a fire reported Friday morning at a house on Ranch Avenue. The fire was contained to the basement of the house, Sgt. James Marshall of the Marshall Police said in a news release Friday. After firefighters entered the house, a deceased male was found in the basement.
An obituary received by the Independent on Friday afternoon said the victim is 30-year-old Joshua Williams.
