Southwest Minnesota State University golfer Rachel Patnoe has been selected to the Women's Golf Coaches Association's (WGCA) All-America Scholar Team for Division II.
Patnoe, who will be a senior for the upcoming season, was one of 644 women golfers in Division I, II and III to earn the honor. The criteria to be selected to the All-Scholar team includes having a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. This is the third straight year Patnoe has earned the honor.
A Milbank, S.D., native, Patnoe has a 4.0 GPA as a biology major. She played all 18 rounds for SMSU in 2012-13 and finished with an 89.5 stroke average. She placed in the top 20 of tournaments three times, in the top 10 twice and in the top five once when she tied for second out of 81 golfers at the Concordia Invite in September. She placed 24th at the 72-hole NSIC Championships.
