Behind 16 hits and a five-run fifth inning, the Lamberton Long Sox made quick work of Redwood Falls Tuesday night in Lamberton. Long Sox starter Shane Schoborg held Redwood Falls to one run, as Lamberton cruised to an 11-1 win in seven innings.

Schoborg scattered three hits over his seven innings of work, striking out four en route to the win.

Redwood Falls starter John Jenniges was less fortunate, taking the loss after allowing seven runs over five innings.

Donald Strand led the Long Sox offense with a 4-for-5 night, including a triple. Seth Guetter chipped in by going 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs, while Landon Erickson had two extra base hits (a double and a triple) for Lamberton.

The Long Sox improve to 8-4 on the season (7-1 Tomahawk East League) and play a pair of road games on Sunday. Lamberton opens up the day at Springfield at 3 p.m., before traveling to St. James for a 7:30 p.m. night cap.
