The Board of Education of Independent School District #413, Marshall Public Schools met for their regular meeting in the Professional Development Room of the District Administration Office on June 3, 2013. This meeting was a joint School Board and City Council meeting.
School Board Members and Officials in Attendance: Jeff Chapman, Matt Coleman, Curt Kovash, Bill Mulso, Karen VanKeulen, and; Ken Wilson. Also in attendance were Superintendent Willert, Director of Business Services Lamprecht, Superintendent's Assistant Stelter.
City Council Members and Officials in Attendance: Ellayne Conyers, Glenn Bayerkohler, Larry Doom, Mike Boedigheimer, John DeCramer, Ben Martig, Mayor Byrnes, Jim Marshall, Dennis Simpson, Tom Meulebroeck, Glenn Olson.
Also in attendance were others from the media and community.
Discussion held on: Goal of Joint Meeting, Overview and Review of School Resource Officer and Crossing Guards, Review of Key Projects Near MHS, Discussion of Dirt Work for Ball Fields, Transition of Street to City, Status of Joint Powers Agreement, Facility Uses and Future Opportunities to Collaborate.
The City Council adjourned their portion of the meeting. The Marshall Public School Board continued to meet to discuss the topics of: Alternative Education Update, Extra Curricular and Co-Curricular Scheduling Agreement and a Budget Update.
The Board acted on the following items: Non-Renewal of Kindergarten Aides and Personnel.
