Southwest Minnesota State sent four individuals to the 2013 NCAA Division II wrestling championships in Birmingham, Ala., but only Justin Reinsma advanced into competition on Saturday.
Having already secured All-American honors after Friday's opening round, Reinsma was looking to improve upon his seventh-place finish from a year ago.
First up was Minnesota State-Mankato 133-pounder Alphonso Vruno.
Vruno edged out Reinsma with a 6-5 decision in Saturday morning's consolation third round, sending the Slayton native back to the seventh-place match.
Reinsma rebounded with a 6-4 decision over Chadron State's (Neb.) Perry McAfee to claim his second consecutive seventh-place finish in the nation.
His top-eight finish and All-American honor were also his second-consecutive, making Reinsma just the second Mustang grappler to be a two-time All-American. Link Steffen was an All-American for SMSU in both 1997 and 1998.
Reinsma finished the season with a 28-9 record.
Jacob and Kyle Begin each finished 1-2 at nationals for the Mustangs, while 184-pounder Travis Peralta went 0-2 in Birmingham.
