MARSHALL - Kevin Leon Bishop, 29, of Minneapolis, appeared in Lyon County District Court Feb. 26 on charges of theft - liability for crimes of another. A complaint alleges Bishop or an accomplice stole more than $5,000 worth of merchandise from a Marshall business on Dec. 11. A hearing was set for March 12.

MARSHALL - Brett Gerald Jasperson, 27, of Minneota, appeared in Lyon County District Court Feb. 26 on charges of second degree driving while impaired - refusal to test and third degree driving while impaired. A complaint alleges Jasperson refused to take a breath test in Lyon County on Oct. 19, and had a prior DWI conviction in 2006. The court found probable cause for the charges, and a hearing was set for March 26.

MARSHALL - Erin Leah Swanson, 30, of Tracy, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District court Feb. 26 to charges of third degree driving while impaired, court records said. Swanson drove with an alcohol level of .2 in Marshall on Jan. 26, court records said. Swanson was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 days stayed, pay a $700 fine and two years probation with conditions including abstain from alcohol and drugs and complete 40 hours of community service. Additional charges of open bottle, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana and failure to provide proof of insurance were dismissed.

MARSHALL - Jonathan Andrew Johnson, 20, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court Feb. 26 on charges of carrying a BB gun, rifle or shotgun in public. A complaint alleges Johnson carried a BB pistol in Marshall on Jan. 28 without a permit. A hearing was set for March 12.

MARSHALL - Jeffrey Wayne Glienke, 47, of St. James, appeared in Lyon County District Court Feb. 25 on three counts of fifth degree controlled substance crime charges and possession of drug paraphernalia charges. A complaint alleges Glienke possessed methamphetamines and marijuana in Marshall on Feb. 22. A hearing was set for March 12. Bail was set at $20,000 without conditions, or $10,000 with conditions including abstain from drugs and alcohol, do not enter bars or liquor stores and be subject to random testing.

MARSHALL - Douglas Dewayne Davidson, 57, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court Feb. 25 on two counts of third degree driving while impaired charges. A complaint alleges Davidson drove while impaired in Marshall on Feb. 23. Bail was set at $12,000 without conditions, or with conditions including abstain from alcohol and drugs, do not enter bars or liquor stores and be subject to random testing.
