They didn't win the first match or the last match, but the Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs won everything in between in a dominant 32-8 win over Northern State in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference wrestling dual in Aberdeen, S.D.
SMSU's Ed Reno dropped a decision in the first match at 125 pounds, but Justin Reinsma picked up a technical fall over NSU's Tyler Frost at 133 pounds for his 18th win of the season which propelled SMSU to eight straight victories.
Beau Buysse (149 pounds), Jacob Begin (165) and Travis Peralta (184) each picked up major decisions for the Mustangs, while Micah Larson got SMSU's lone pin of the night. He took down NSU's Baker Haar at 197 pounds for the Mustangs' eighth win.
SMSU is back on the mat today at 7:30 p.m. when the Mustangs take on No. 1 St. Cloud State, in Canby.
