By Chris Hmielewski , Marshall Independent

Hello Mustang Fans!

Tonight, the SMSU baseball team will be hosting its fifth annual Wild Game Feed in the upper level of the SMSU Conference Center. The social hour begins at 6 p.m. followed by a 7 p.m. dinner buffet. Tickets will be $20 for adults and $10 for children under the age of 12. Tickets can be purchased at the door the night of the dinner.

The SMSU Student Hospitality Organization will be preparing the dinner buffet for the evening. Dinner will include appetizers, multiple entrees, side dishes and refreshments. This is a great opportunity to bring the family out and support the SMSU baseball team and Student Hospitality Organization, while dining on some "upscale" wild game entrees. The Mustang baseball program looks forward to seeing you there!

This Saturday the SMSU Department of Athletics will host the 11th induction into the Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) Athletics Hall of Honor. The festivities will begin at noon, in the SMSU Conference Center Ballroom, with a half-hour social, followed by lunch and the induction ceremonies beginning at 12:30 p.m. Tickets for the lunch and ceremony are $15 per person. To reserve a ticket for the banquet please call the SMSU athletics office at 507-537-7271.

This year's induction class includes former men's basketball player Frank Belmont; swimmer Mike Fallon; football player Jason Jacobs; football and baseball player Rich Rhinesmith; basketball player Andrea (Schreier) Sawatzky; former head baseball coach Jim Denevan; community members and supporters of SMSU athletics Brian and Kris Gruhot and Dan Snobl; and the 1991 volleyball team. The SMSU Athletics Hall of Honor was established in 1992 and inducts new members every two years.

Saturday both the Mustang women's and men's Basketball programs will host the annual SMSU "Alumni Day". The Mustangs will host Winona State later that night as part of "Hawaiian Night" in the R/A Facility.
