CDA to meet Monday
Catholic Daughters of America will meet at Hill Street Place Monday following the 5:30 p.m. Mass at Holy Redeemer Church.
Peer ministry support group starts Monday
Beginning Experience of Southwest Minnesota, a peer ministry support group for widowed, separated and divorced people. is offering its Level II "Rebuilding" series for 10 weeks beginning Monday.
The Monday night sessions begin at 7 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church on Church and A Street in Marshall. Registration is the first two Monday nights starting at 6:30 p.m. Registration is then closed for that session. The support group is open to people of all denominations. There is a fee to cover the cost of materials. This series is designed for those who are past the initial pain of losing a partner and are working to put their lives back together. All dialogue is confidential and facilitators are individuals who have suffered a similar loss. Festival of World Missions at Living Word Lutheran
The Augustana District of LCMC?and Living Word Lutheran Church is having a Festival of World Missions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Living Word Lutheran Church at 800 Southview Court East in Marshall
Featured speakers include Pastor Bob Nordvall - Eastern European Missions Network, Pastor Belete Demessew of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus and Pastor Don Leonard -?Wycliffe Project Video.
The cost is $15 per person or with three or more from the same church, $10 per person. The cost includes lunch.

Swedish meatball dinner at Hope Lutheran Jan. 20
Hope Lutheran Church is having a Swedish meatball dinner at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, in the fellowship hall.
The menu also includes mashed potatoes and gravy, candied carrots, cranberries, rolls, dessert and beverages.
The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for youth ages 10 and under and free for kids 3 and under.
There will also be a bake sale, with lefse as a special treat, and a silent auction of homemade and donated items.
March For Life in St. Paul Jan. 22
In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, which legalized abortion in our country, MCCL (Minnesota Citizens Concerned For Life) is sponsoring a March For Life at the state Capitol in St. Paul at noon Tuesday, Jan. 22 . There will be a bus leaving Marshall at 6:30 a.m. from the northeast corner of Market Street Mall parking lot. Participants will be able to attend the Prayer Service For Life at 10:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Paul and then march or ride or ride the bus to the noon rally.
