ST. PETERSBURG - Margaret Anne McCreedy, 73, of St. Petersburg, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at St. Anthony's Hospital.
Born in Marshall, she moved to Florida in 1998 from Buffalo, N.Y. She received her B.S. in nursing from Macalester College in St. Paul. She worked as a registered nurse for Millard Filmore Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y., and was also a manager for the Visiting Nurses Association. She was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg. She was a devoted grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She was also a volunteer at the St. Petersburg Public Library, North Branch where she also taught English as a second language. She loved to sing and was a member of the church choir. She also enjoyed playing the piano. She lived every day of her life to the fullest.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Boyer.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Terence L. "Mac" McCreedy; her three sons, Scott M. (and Kathryn) McCreedy of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Keith A. (and Debora) McCreedy of W. Seneca, N.Y.; and Jonathan D. (and Carrie) McCreedy of St. Petersburg; her mother, Clarice Boyer and sister, Susan M. (and William) Sullivan, all of Marshall; and her six grandchildren, Danielle, Ryan, Will, Tess, Eavan and Micah.
