BROOKLYN CENTER - Services for Robert "Bob" Andrew Stenerson, 65, of Brooklyn Center are at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Brooklyn Center. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Evans Nordby Funeral Home in Brooklyn Center. There will be a visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. A luncheon and social hour will immediately follow the funeral at the Church Parish Hall. Visitation with coffee and donuts will be from 9-11:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Burial will be noon at Calvary Cemetery in Marshall.
He died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, surrounded by his loving family at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, Fla. Bob fought a long, brave battle against cancer.
Bob was born May 24, 1947, grew up in Minneota and later lived in Brooklyn Center.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Betty (Boerboom) Stenerson; his daughter, Lisa (and Andy) Prasky and his son, Troy and (Jennifer) Stenerson; four grandchildren, Conner, Hannah, Molly and Jack; his brother, Gordy (and Barb) Stenerson; and sister, Helen (and Jim) Rokeh; as well as his many in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Winifred Stenerson; in-laws, Hubert Boerboom, Babe (Boerboom) McLaughlin and Mac McLaughlin; his infant son; granddaughter Emily Elizabeth Prasky; and many aunts and uncles.
