HAYESVILLE, N.C. - Services for Sharon Ann Allen, 72, of Hayesville, N.C., will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Allen's name. She died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at her home following an extended illness.
She was born July 16, 1940, in Yankton, S.D., to William B. and Helen Desmond.
Survivors include her husband, Dale L., formerly of Marshall; twin daughters, Denise A. Brown of Cumming, Ga., Jennifer A. Aase of Cumming; four grandchildren; brother, William B. Desmond of Prattville, Ala.; and sister, Mary Gardiner of Sioux City, Iowa.
