LAKE BENTON - Services for Marjorie Charleen Schmidt, 78, of Lake Benton will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake Benton. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in St. John's Immanuel Cemetery, rural Verdi. Arrangements are provided by Hartquist Funeral Home, Utoft-Johansen Chapel of Lake Benton.
She died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

She was born March 15, 1934, to Thorvald and Olivia (Jensen) Rasmusen in Tyler. Survivors include her husband, Eldon; her children, Philip of Lake Benton, Mona Haynes of Lake Benton, Jackie Heesch of Pipestone, Kim Gates of Lake Benton and Jane Davenport of Battle Ground, Wash.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Roland Rasmusen of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and granddog, Boomer.
