An aggressive Pipestone Area volleyball team nearly pulled off a sweep of the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Panthers, but TMB rallied just in time to emerge from Pipestone with a 3-2 win Thursday.

The Panthers won the final three sets as part of their 24-26, 23-25, 25-23, 25-19, 15-4 non-conference victory that evened their record at 14-14.

Anna Peterson helped spur the TMB comeback on 15 of 15 serving with two aces. The libero also had a team-high 16 digs. Kelli Soupir also had 13 digs and was 19-for-19 with an ace from the service line.

Jenna Stoneberg led the TMB attack, pounding down a dozen kills, while Kassidy Przymus tallied 10. Soupir and Sammie Gervais combined for 17 kills. Setter Cassie Hook had 32 set assists to go along with her pair of aces for the Panthers.

The Panthers are seeded fourth in the south sub-section and will face the winner of RTR and Edgerton on Friday in Luverne.
