To the editor:
It's nice to be reminded that it is National Newspaper Week; a good reason to send a note of appreciation to the Independent staff.
Realizing that many folks like doing their newspaper reading on-line, there are still many of us who thoroughly enjoy the local/state and national news by turning the print pages each day. (Goes great with that morning cup of coffee!)
There is the phrase, "Keep Old Glory Flying" - and along with that let's add "Keep the Newspapers Printing!"
Thanks to all of you who make our local paper a possibility, including those who bring it to my door each morning.
