To the editor:
Leadership! As the Nov. 6 election is fast approaching and as we are assessing which candidates we want to represent us, I will be looking for leadership.
We may not always agree with leaders, but you always know where your similarities and differences are. I have gained great respect for the leadership of Senator Gary Dahms.
He is a strong supporter of agriculture as is evident by his gaining of the endorsement from the Minnesota Farm Bureau Political Action Committee. Minnesota Farm Bureau is the largest general farm organization in Minnesota. As vice chairman of the Minnesota Senate Agriculture and Rural Economics Committee, Gary held a key leadership position in the Minnesota Senate and worked successfully with members of both parties to pass an Agriculture Finance Bill; the only finance bill passed and signed by the Governor during the 2011 regular legislative session. He was also a key player in the passage of the Agriculture Policy Bill that was signed by the Governor this year. Gary is accessible to any constituent that wants to share their concern on any issue. He represents our agriculture and rural communities with a strong knowledge of how to get things done.
Gary is a leader and he has earned my vote for the Minnesota Senate seat 16.
