MARSHALL - Investigations continue on a pair of shootings reported in Marshall in early September, Marshall Police said Thursday. Detective Joe Krogman of the Marshall Police Department said the incidents were still under investigation, but there was no further information to release.
Meanwhile, sounds reported by concerned Marshall residents on Wednesday night turned out not to be gunfire, Police said. Around 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, police received multiple calls from residents who thought they may have heard a gunshot near the 600 block of West Lyon Street and West Redwood Street. However, the sound was independently verified to be fireworks, Police said.
A pair of shootings were reported in Marshall in the early hours of Sept. 8 and Sept. 9, respectively. In one shooting, rounds from a large-caliber handgun were fired through a bedroom window at a residence on North 6th Street, while the resident slept.
