Faith in action for Oct. 5

October 5, 2012

St. Stephen Lutheran Church

"Trunk or Treat" at St. Stephen Lutheran Church! Wear your costume! Get treats! No tricks! Bring an item for the food shelf!

On Halloween (Wednesday, Oct. 31) St. Stephen Lutheran Church will have an event called "Trunk or Treat!" We invite the community to visit the parking lot of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, located at 1301 S. 4th St., anytime between 5:45-7 p.m. There will be several vehicle trunks decorated for Halloween at one end of the parking lot, and confirmation students will be handing out candy to you, the "trunk or treaters," from each trunk.

The event is open to everyone, and children are encouraged to come in costume, as well as parents! Not only is this a safe environment in which to celebrate Halloween, but it is a service to the community as well. We ask that each family that attends bring a non-perishable item for the food shelf as a donation, which will be collected as you enter the parking lot.

Come and celebrate Halloween with us at St. Stephen, as we continue to put our faith into action and carry out our mission of "Proclaiming and Serving Jesus Christ." And remember to give thanks for all the saints that have gone before us on All Saints' Day - the day that follows "All Hallowed's Eve" (Halloween).
