Russell-Tyler-Ruthton had its fourth five-set win of the season on Tuesday, outlasting Renville County West 20-25, 27-25, 21-25, 25-15, 15-6 in a Camden Conference match in Renville.

Destinee Strand was 24 for 25 serving with three aces for the Knights, who move to 13-7 overall and 5-4 in Camden play. She also had a team-high 15 digs.

Janel Wichern led the Knights with 15 kills, while Dana Schaefer and Leslie Willert each had three ace blocks.

RTR returns home Thursday for a conference match against Lakeview.

The Dawson-Boyd volleyball team won its seventh match in a row Tuesday, sweeping MACCRAY 25-13, 25-17, 25-10 in a road Camden Conference match in Clara City.

Mari Lee had 16 kills and an ace block for the Blackjacks. Katarina Kuhlmann tallied nine kills and three ace serves, and Kylie Schuelke tallied a team-high 26 digs. Justine Lee also had a strong match for Dawson-Boyd with 10 kills and 18 digs.

Dawson-Boyd improves to 14-3 after the victory and will continue conference action Thursday with a road match against Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg.

The Lakeview Lakers dropped their third consecutive match on Tuesday as they fell 3-0 to Central Minnesota Christian (25-14, 25-23, 25-22) in Cottonwood.

Tegan VanMoer led the Lakers on 11 of 11 serving with two aces and also tied for the team lead with six kills. Alli Boerboom also had six kills and an ace block, while Brianna Hoffman had five kills and a pair of ace blocks. Madi Nelson had 16 set assists and seven digs for Lakeview. Kana Barker led the Lakers with eight digs.

With the loss, Lakeview falls to 9-10 overall and 2-6 in the Camden Conference. The Lakers travel to Tyler on Thursday for a bout with the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights and a chance to end their current skid.

The Canby Lancers dispatched of Lincoln HI in straight sets Tuesday, defeating the Rebels 25-9, 25-9, 25-11 in a Camden Conference match played in Ivanhoe.

Canby's Taylor Gorder had a match-high 15 kills to go with eight digs. Dani Kontz added 10 digs and four ace serves, and Kristy Schmidt tallied 25 set assists. Ricki Kallhoff led the Lancers' defensive effort at the net with two ace blocks.

Lincoln HI got three digs and an ace serve from Morgan Citterman in the loss.

The Lancers (13-7 overall) are back on the road Thursday for a conference match against MACCRAY. The winless Rebels host Tracy Oct. 9.

Westbrook-Walnut Grove had an impressive serving night in an easy sweep of Edgerton Tuesday in Westbrook. Abby Herding was 26-for-27 serving with 10 aces to lead the Chargers to a 25-9, 25-17, 25-12 Red Rock Conference win.

Dayna Comnick and Hailey Osland each added four ace serves for WWG in the victory.

Herding also had 18 set assists to go along with her strong serving performance, and Paige Erickson had a team-high seven kills.

The Chargers (16-3 overall, 5-1 RRC) carry a six-match win streak into Thursday's road match against Southwestern United.

Returning to Tomahawk Conference play Tuesday after picking up a non-conference win over Lakeview the previous night, the Wabasso Rabbits earned an easy sweep of Cedar Mountain/Comfrey in Morgan. Wabasso won the match 25-8, 25-18, 25-21 to improve to 12-4 on the season.

Chelsey Guetter had 10 kills, 11 digs and two ace blocks for the Rabbits. Kimberly Frank tallied 14 digs, 19 set assists and two ace blocks, while Desi Kramer registered eight kills and a team-high 15 digs.

The Rabbits resume Tomahawk Conference play Thursday with a match against Sleepy Eye St. Mary's in Wabasso.

Red Rock Central overcame a second-set slip-up to put away Fulda 25-13, 24-25, 25-21, 25-11 in a Red Rock Conference match played Tuesday in Jeffers.

Freshman Mikaela Smith had a solid match for the Falcons in the victory with 10 set assists and 13 digs. She also went 23 of 24 from the service line with three aces.

Fern Engen led the RRC attack with 11 kills, Brooke Rasmussen had a team-high 18 digs, Tegan Derickson tallied 15 set assists, and Chloe Arfsten had three ace blocks for the Falcons.

RRC (7-8 overall, 5-2 RRC) is at Morgan Thursday for a match against Cedar Mountain/Comfrey.

The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers had three players reach double figures in kills in a 25-11, 25-17, 25-16 sweep of Yellow Medicine East Tuesday in Granite Falls.

Sydney Engebretson tallied 12 kills for the Tigers, Paige Schieler had 11, and MicKenley Nagel had 10. Mikaela Henrichs led MA/C-A defensively with 19 digs.

Chyanne Sand had a solid night for YME in the loss, tallying 11 kills and four ace blocks. Nena McCalla was 10 of 10 serving and had 11 digs.

The Sting (2-18 overall) start a three-match road swing Thursday with a match at BOLD.
